Nanoenabled strategies to reduce the presence of contaminants of emergent concern in aquatic environments. (acronym:AMROCE)
AMROCE aims to reduce antibiotic contamination and the spread of AMR bacteria throughout the water cycle through a platform of new antibiotic-free antimicrobial products. AMROCE will develop antibacterial/antibiofilm nets for catching fish and membranes for wastewater filtration using nano-engineered polymers and surfaces.
The project is implemented by the Consortium: Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (Spain), Polymemtech; Sintef Ocean (Norway); VTT (Finland); Technical University of Crete (Greece); Bar-Ilan University (Israel); Universita degli Studi di Milano (Italy); Project HUB-360 (Italy).
Project financed by the National Center for Research and Development together with partner agencies financing research in other countries as part of the ERA-NET Cofund competition.
